We’ve added the ability to generate a Word document version of any sent agreement either by the sender or the recipient to handle situations when offline document based negotiation is needed. Available for all agreement types, the DOCX version has track changes automatically enabled and contains all the selected cover page values from the sent agreement.

We’ve released a minor update that allows senders to propose changes to their agreements at any time up to the point where it is signed. This is a great option to correct any issues with a sent agreement or to accommodate changes from a recipient that are proposed outside of the platform.

We’re excited to launch a new feature that allows customers to receive webhook notifications for all events associated with an agreement. Simply supply a URL endpoint where these messages should be sent, and the platform will send details about the event, the underlying agreement, the senders, recipients, and more. Customers can leverage tools like Zapier along with this data to power Slack notifications, trigger tasks in Salesforce, etc.

Sometimes there are other people beyond the primary recipient that need to be involved with the agreement process. This new feature allows users to add up to 3 additional people that will have view-only access to an agreement in-flight and be copied on all the emails the primary recipient receives.

We’re proud to announce the availability of the Common Paper Service Level Agreement v1.0! Developed by our committee of attorneys, this SLA is designed to be used with our Cloud Service Agreement. It offers a straightforward way for vendors and customers to agree on product performance targets and remedies. It’s available in the product (as part of the CSA template) or on our website.

We’ve released support for uploading and adding PDF attachments to Cloud Service Agreements in Common Paper! This new feature allows users to extend Common Paper agreements to include additional terms that are specific to their business – documents like a Vendor Code of Conduct or Community Guidelines. These attachments are viewable during the negotiation process and embedded within the signed PDF.

We’ve made it easier for you and your recipients to be able to review and sign agreements on your mobile devices. The full desktop experience is still recommended for setting up templates and sending initial agreements.
May 26, 2022
We’ve added a new feature that allows users to specify an internal user as the signer that can be separate from the user that’s handling the sending and negotiation of an agreement. The signer only gets involved when an agreement reaches the signature stage.
May 16, 2022
We’ve added the ability to control whether your organization is the last to sign an agreement. A toggle at either the template or agreement level, this new setting allows a user to ensure that the recipient signs first in all scenarios including when changes are proposed.
May 13, 2022
You can now see the entire chain of events from agreement sent to agreement signed (and everything in between) laid out in our new agreement history feature! Clicking on any agreement in the agreement list will take you to a chronological list of activities, including who performed each action.
May 9, 2022
We’ve released a new PDF that you can pass along to customers to introduce them to the Common Paper standard agreements and give them some background on how they work. It’s available alongside each of the standards on our website, or directly from here.
May 4, 2022
Waiting on a recipient to review or sign an agreement? Now you can resend the last email notification they received to remind them that the ball is in their court. You can find the option under the ‘Other Actions’ menu when viewing an agreement.
May 2, 2022
We’ve made it so that you can easily reassign sent agreements to different recipients. Additionally, comments can now be included when reassigning agreements to give the new assignee some context.
April 28, 2022
We’ve introduced the ability to optionally include the full text of the Standard Terms for agreements along with the cover page in the PDFs generated by the platform. There’s a new toggle available on both template creation/edit and when creating an agreement.
April 15, 2022
You can now apply electronic signatures directly within Common Paper. Both senders and recipients can review and sign agreements from within the application rather than through a separate workflow.
April 13, 2022
The application now supports international addresses for both organizations and agreements. We’ve also added auto-complete functionality to make adding addresses quicker and easier.
April 8, 2022
We’ve added the ability to use Markdown in any of the open text fields in the Cloud Service Agreement templates. This lets you add formatted text including bold/italics, headings and both numbered and bulleted lists.

A new feature on the CSA template creation and editing page lets you request an introduction to a lawyer with deep familiarity with tech contracts.
